Normal

The preliminary results of the amnio are back. We have GOOD news, ladies. The results are normal, or negative, or whatever you want to call it. No Dow.n Sy.ndrome.

*HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF*

I may actually finally tell some more people that I'm pregnant. (Have I mentioned that we still have only told our parents, siblings, and a few very close friends?)

18 weeks tomorrow...

I have been following your blog and your news is awesome.

I am in pretty much the same situation as you, a few weeks behind you, and my quad is tomorrow(I have had 3 miscarriages myself and managed to squeeze a healthy toddler somewhere in the mess). I am nervous but you handled this well.

I am thinking your brief complication with the placenta caused high readings because all the hormones seem to come from there anyway. I hear for some reason that can happen. I have had unexplained bleeding my first trimester so I feel like there is still a chance my fetus might have some abnormality, or I may get a skewed reading because of it, although no reason was given for the bleeding at the time.
Congratulations and please enjoy your day.

Beautiful news! I have been reading along, even though I haven't been replying all that often.

YAAAAY!! and along with no downs, no Trisomy 18, or 13 either! They all would show up in the prelim. results. Grace had T18. I'm so happy for you that the results are good!! Breath a HUGE sigh of relief and scream it to the mountain tops that things are well!! WOOO!

Big sigh of relief! That is such great news. Hopefully you will be able to enjoy your pregnancy much more moving forward.

We also waited until 18 weeks (last week) to tell people. Even though I'm sure some people knew or suspected, we just needed more peace of mind. I think people understand where we are coming from.

Congratulations on the good news!!! :)

Congratulations! That is amazing news!

I can't believe you still have the luxury of not telling people you're pregnant! Thanks to my "fruit salad" I had one person say to me, "Any day now, eh?" Uhh...no. I am only 17+ weeks. Thanks.

Have you started wearing maternity clothes yet?
